Michael Conlan's big showdown with Olympics nemesis Vladimir Nikitin is OFF.
Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti told ESPN on Thursday that Nikitin suffered a torn bicep and has withdrawn from the fight at Falls Park on August 3.
Conlan 's team will now have to find a replacement for the big Féile an Phobail bill.
"We're not even going to think about rescheduling the fight right now," Moretti said.
"It's too severe of an injury. And when he does come back we'd probably have to give him another fight first before he could be ready to fight Conlan.
"It's a disappointment."
Belfast featherweight Conlan suffered a controversial points decision defeat to Nikitin at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Nikitin has won all three of his professional bouts to date, while Conlan has an unblemished record after 11 fights.
When the fight was announced, Conlan said: "This is the fight I have wanted since the day of that Olympics fight on August 16, 2016. It is finally here and I am really excited.
"It is going to be unbelievable, and I really don't know what to expect.
"It is going to be a phenomenal event with a phenomenal atmosphere, and the fact it is Falls Park where I grew up is amazing."
Now he will have to prepare for a new opponent.
Paddy Barnes and Sean McComb have already been confirmed for the undercard.
