Michael Conlan will look to extend his professional record to 12-0 when he takes on Diego Alberto Ruiz in Belfast tonight.
The 27-year-old was originally scheduled to take on his Rio 2016 nemesis Vladimir Nikitin in a huge grudge match back in his hometown this weekend.
The Russian was infamously awarded a hugely controversial win over Conlan when they met in the quarter-finals in Brazil five years ago – with Nikitin later forced to pull out of his semi-final match as a result of the injuries he suffered against the Irishman.
History repeated itself in June when Nikitin suffered a torn bicep that forced him to withdraw from tonight’s contest.
