Michael Conlan shares video of moment he suffered ankle injury that ruled him out of December bout

Michael Conlan has shared a video which shows the moment he 'busted' his ankle.

The Belfast fighter was due to face former WBO world super-bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe in a world-title eliminator next month, but the injury has ruled him out of a December 5 bout.

In the clip, Conlan can be seen training before going over on his right ankle and lying down in pain as other people in the gym race to help him.

Conlan, who was due to fight on Tyson Fury's undercard in London, said he was "devastated" after rupturing his ATFL (anterior talofibular ligament) last week.

He said on Twitter: "Absolutely devastated to announce I will no longer be fighting December 5th due to rupturing my ATFL during a training session on Wednesday, back home now recovering. Doc said I’ll be out for 8-12 weeks but I’ll be back sooner, just watch!"
