Michael Conlan causes Twitter meltdown after asking for boxing live stream

Irish boxer Michael Conlan caused a brief Twitter storm last night after asking boxing fans for a live stream of the Luke Campbell v Ryan Garcia fight.

The Belfast star's notifications were flooded with confused fans after he asked for the DAZN stream of the big Dallas fight.

Taking to Twitter, Conlan asked fans: "Who got the DAZN stream??"

The featherweight was met with dozens of replies from fans wondering why he wasn't a subscriber with the network.

But Conlan quickly cleared up the confusion, informing fans that he was in an area where the coverage was not available.

He clarified: "Just to clarify, DAZN don’t stream where I am atm and I get it for free anyway".

The 29-year-old was eventually able to tune in and catch the conclusion to the seven-round thriller as the boxing world reacted to a stunning Garcia KO victory.

Despite backing UK fighter Campbell in the build-up, Conlan admitted 22-year-old prodigy Ryan Garcia is 'the real deal' as he sealed a shot at a world title against Gervonta Davis.

Conlain said: "Ryan Garcia is the business. Had an inkling Campbell was a step to far, but he’s the real deal, great watch."
