After one game together, Dwyane Wade used an intriguing comparison when asked about new teammate Michael Carter-Williams.
"He's a taller (Rajon) Rondo, a guy who has played in the paint and has been an attacker and guards," Wade said.
At 6-feet-6, Carter-Williams owns a five-inch advantage on Rondo. Of course, the Bulls would love it if Carter-Williams mirrored Rondo, given that the latter is the NBA's reigning assists leader and was a four-time All-Defensive team player before tearing an ACL.
"The kid can play," Wade said of Carter-Williams. "He's versatile from the standpoint he can guard multiple players with his height and length."
Carter-Williams consistently picked up opponents full court in his debut against the Hawks. And the 25-year-old said he prides himself on making an impact at that end.
"If we can limit one less pick-and-roll because I'm picking up full court, that will help us a lot," Carter-Williams said. "If guys see me into the ball and working hard on the ball, that carries onto the rest of the team. Defensively, getting deflections and steals, I think that's one of my strengths."
