Canadian superstar Michael Buble held a secret birthday party at a Liverpool bar this week.
The Grammy-award winning singer played two sold-out gigs at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
He even during one of the shows.
But the man who has sold 30 million records worldwide chose a hidden Liverpool bar to hold a 40th birthday party for his best friend and musical director, Alan Chang, after the show on Wednesday night.
Staff at the Puffin Rooms on Old Hall Street were sworn to secrecy including resident musician and pianist Victoria Sharpe who posted about the encounter with the star on her Facebook page.

Victoria, who is from Woolton and lives in the city centre, told the ECHO: "It was an amazing night. I hosted, sang and played the piano for them way into the early hours. It was like one big jamming session, I would play, then Michael would sing and then everyone would join in.
"We had known about the party for a couple of months but obviously we couldn't say anything. Michael has planned the party for his best friend and chose the Puffin Rooms because it is so intimate. I say it's up to a London standard with a Northern hug.
"Michael was such a nice person - lovely, warm, genuine and funny and completely grounded and genuine. He was showing me pictures of his kids and we were speaking to each other in Spanish, because obviously his wife is from Argentina.
"He was just everything you hear about him and I have total respect for him, he just spoke to me like I was his fellow musician and told me I was an amazing piano player - so to get that compliment, I kept saying so are you."
Photos and videos were not permitted at the private party but Michael offered to record a video message with Victoria at the end of the night.

Michael said in the video: "We got to play together tonight, we got to sing, she played, she sang, it was so much fun."
Victoria jokingly adds: "He was very lucky."
To which Michael laughed replying: "I'm so lucky, oh my God I counted my blessings all night long."
