Oh boy, it’s going to be REALLY awkward in Detroit for Michael Brockers.
Earlier this month, then-Los Angeles Rams defensive linemen was asked about his squad acquiring Matthew Stafford, and whether it was a “level up” from Jared Goff at quarterback.
He replied, “Is it a level up? In my heart, deeply, just understanding what he brings, it’s a level up. It’s a level up.”
Except … on Wednesday, we found out that Brockers was reportedly traded. To the Detroit Lions. Whose quarterback is Jared Goff.
Oh no. Soooo awkward. I’m not sure there’s a great way to smooth this over, except for Goff to say there are no hard feelings.
Here’s some reaction:
Lmaoooo. What does Brockers say to Goff upon arrival? https://t.co/y665bNgiJC pic.twitter.com/FxRMMzWWWt

After the Goff/Stafford trade, Rams DL Michael Brockers came out and said:
“In my heart, deeply, just understanding what Stafford brings, it’s a level up [over Goff]."
