American singer Michael Bolton has been forced to pull out of his concert in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena due to illness, just minutes before doors were due to open.
The 'How Am I Supposed to Live Without You' singer postponed Tuesday night's gig in the Welsh capital just half an hour before doors were due to open at 6.30pm, with the promoter SJM Concerts and the venue citing an unspecified illness.

"Unfortunately, due to illness, Michael Bolton’s show tonight at Motorpoint Arena Cardiff has been postponed," the promoter wrote on social media on Tuesday evening.
"Michael is deeply sorry to his fans, and an announcement will be made soon regarding a possible rescheduled date."
The Motorpoint Arena later put out the same statement confirming the postponement.
Bolton was originally set to bring his Love Songs Greatest Hits Tour to the UK in autumn 2020, but it was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The singer had seemed in full voice just three nights ago when he took to the stage at Newcastle City Hall, tweeting the following day:
And the concert's late postponement has left fans devastated and, in some cases, angry.
One fan who had already been waiting outside wrote online: "This really isn’t good enough! I had tickets for tonight for my dad's birthday, surely this should have been cancelled earlier? I hope Michael gets well but I think I’ve likely caught the flu waiting outside."
Another said: "Sincerely hope he's better soon but 11 minutes notice is pretty bad. I only noticed about 10 mins ago because I wanted to check timings. Had I not checked, we wouldn't have known."
Others wished the pop-rock balladeer well, with one saying: "Be kind people. Sending well wishes, and lots of love. Get well soon Michael.
"Absolutely gutted, turned up to be told at the venue, but we can't be annoyed. These are unprecedented times, and if he is unable to perform, I would rather him get well and postpone."
