Michael Bolton 'blessed and honoured' at kind messages after postponing Manchester show due to illness

Michael Bolton has had to postpone his show at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall tonight.

The singer has been diagnosed with viral laryngitis and is resting on doctors' orders.

He also had to pull out of his show in Cardiff last night, just minutes before the doors were due to open.

But despite his illness, Michael has taken to Twitter to say he feels 'blessed and honoured' at all the well-wishes that have poured in.

He wrote: "To all my beloved fans. I have been reading your get well wishes and feel so blessed and honored to have your support.

"I’m resting now so I can come back even stronger in a few days!!! Love you all."

A new date for his show at the Bridgewater Hall hasn't yet been confirmed.

The statement shared on social media says: "Unfortunately, due to illness, Michael Bolton’s show at Manchester Bridgewater Hall on Thursday 7 th October 2021 has been postponed.

"Michael has been diagnosed with viral laryngitis and under doctors’ orders he has been told to take immediate rest which will help him make a speedy recovery.

"Michael is deeply sorry to his fans, and an announcement will be made soon regarding a possible rescheduled date."
