Michael Bisping signs new four-year commentary deal with the UFC

Michael Bisping has extended his role with the UFC as a color commentator.

Thursday, Bisping announced he signed a new four-year contract to continue his duties as a commentator for the UFC.

Pleased to announce I’m signing a new 4 year contract with the ufc to continue my role as commentator. Beyond grateful for this role. Big thanks to @danawhite I really am obsessed with this sport and calling fights for the biggest fight promotion in history is a real honor for me.”

Bisping, who’s known for his witty banter and sharp tongue, has shined behind the microphone. Host of his own podcast, “Believe You Me,” with comedian Luis J. Gomez, Bisping’s transition as a commentator has been a natural one.

And while he’s already become a fan favorite, one thing remains on his bucket list. The future UFC Hall of Famer would like to some day share the booth with Joe Rogan, who currently only commentates U.S.-based pay-per-views.

The former middleweight champion and Season 3 “Ultimate Fighter” winner will return to the booth for Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 30 card, which is headlined by a featherweight showdown between elite strikers Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze.
