Michael Beale tells Rangers fan 'support the team' as he sends defiant message to online critic

Irked Rangers coach Michael Beale has hit back at online criticism of the side so far this term.

Steven Gerrard 's men reclaimed top spot in the Scottish Premiership as they came from behind to see off 10-man Hibs.

Despite their league position and win over the capital side, the running theme this term has been concerns over a drop in performance from the title win last term.

That has sparked an abrupt shut down from Beale in a conversation over tactics over social media.

An initial post from a Rangers fan on Twitter read: "Do we only train once a week. Tactics and formations never change."

The sparked another punter to name Beale, replying: "Considering how much Michael Beale gets bummed up, this is a concern."

The former Liverpool academy coach is seen by many fans as one of the big reasons for their recent success.

And Beale took a swipe back as he pointed to the impressive league and home records in the last 18 months for the Scottish champions.

Beale replied: "22 home league wins out of the last 23 & 1 league defeat in 47 games. How about you support the players?"

Boss Gerrard has lauded the impact of Beale on the squad, saying it would take 20 years to become as good a coach as his right-hand man.
