Michael Beale had to break from giving a Rangers transfer and contract update during a radio interview as jubilant fans chanted their approval for the new manager following victory at Rugby Park.
Supporters roared “Go on Michael Beale - We Are The People” and a chant of "One Michael Beale" as the Englishman gave his post match thoughts to BBC Sportsound after the 3-2 victory. It was a sign of how life has started as Ibrox boss with seven wins from eight games in charge thanks to an Alfredo Morelos double and Ryan Kent goal.
The duo were impressive but their contract situation remains unclear with the pair free to leave Ibrox for nothing at the end of the season. But Beale said: “We’re not resigned to them just going. There’s a break in a hectic schedule to sit down and talk. I get on with both boys very well. I’ve known Ryan longer. It’s a situation I inherited. Their commitment was shown with their performances and goals. Myself and Ross can sit down but they have to give their opinion on where they want to be. "
Beale also promised more signings to come, saying: “We’re close to one or two. I don’t want to put timeline on it. We’re close to one or two being announced. I’m really pleased with the work being done between the sides. I can’t tell you much more but you can see with my face. "
On the game Beale said: "It was certainly not the start (he wanted). We were slow out the changing room and Kilmarnock came right for us, we told them what to expect and they didn't heed that warning. After that, I thought we grew into the game and scored a fantastic equalising goal. Then in the second half I thought we came out and were excellent for large periods. We got ourselves 3-1 in front and maybe should have taken one or two more opportunities.
