Michael Beale makes two changes to Rangers side to take on St Mirren

Michael Beale has named his Rangers team to take on St Mirren.

The Ibrox boss has made two changes from the team that played at Celtic Park last weekend.

Allan McGregor starts in goal with an unchanged backline of James Tavernier, Ben Davies, John Souttar and Borna Barisic.

Nico Raskin continues in midfield with John Lundstram back in the line-up. Fashion Sakala replaces Ryan Kent in the starting XI alongside Malik Tillman and Todd Cantwell behind Alfredo Morelos.

Beale had revealed before the match that he would be without six first-team players for the St Mirren fixture.

Connor Goldson, Kent, Ryan Jack, Antonio Colak, Scott Wright and Ridvan Yilmaz are all sidelined through injury.

Asked if the knocks could be long-term, he added: "We'll have to assess. I think one or two are just knicks and niggles that we don't want to take a risk on right now.

"Obviously, Connor, we know is going to be away with a possibility of playing next weekend but we've got an eye on the semi-final for him.

"Ryan Kent, right at the end of the game had an awkward landing and he's got quite a lot of bruising around it so has not been able to come back to training this week. We just need to assess where that is in the early part of next week.

"Ridvan will be back. Tony has a slight problem with his calf. Jacko, yesterday just opened his knee out a little bit but we don't think there's anything major there."

RANGERS XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Souttar, Davies, Barisic, Lundstram, Raskin, Cantwell, Fashion, Tillman, Morelos.

SUBS: McLaughlin, Hagi, Matondo, Kamara, Arfield, King, McCausland, Lyall, Rice.

SUBS: Urminsky, Taylor, Gallagher, Small, Flynn, Boyd-Munce, Offord, Jamieson, Greive.
