Michael Beale drops strong Rangers transfer arrivals hint as he makes 'coming days' statement

Michael Beale says Rangers fans can expect an announcement in the 'coming days' over new recruits at Ibrox.

The Light Blues boss was in a bullish mood as he watched his side comeback against Kilmarnock. Ryan Kent was on target to grab the second goal of the night as Rangers came out on top in a five-goal thriller at Rugby Park.

Alfredo Morelos was also at the double for the visitors as they maintained their unbeaten run under the new boss and remained nine points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic at the top after their 4-0 win over St Mirren. And Beale admits both soon-to-be out of contract stars are still being discussed for new contract talks but also dropped a huge hint that new arrivals could be on the way.

Beale told BBC Sportsound: "We are close to one or two bits. I don't want to put a timeline and disappoint anyone. We are close to one or two being announced in the coming days and I'm really pleased with the work everyone has done behind the scenes on that.

"You can see from my face I can't really tell you much more. In the meantime, the boys that are here are doing well and in the coming days we will have news for everyone."

On Kent and Morelos contract situations, he said: "We are certainly not resigned to them leaving. The schedule has been really heaving and we are finding a break in it to sit down and have a conversation.

"I get on with both boys really well. I've known Ryan longer but they have been excellent for me since I have came in and their commitment is shown by their goals and performances so lets focus on that for a minute.

"Then Ross and myself will talk to these boys. But they have to do what they want to do and give their opinion as well on where they see themselves. There is a lot to be discussed you might say."
