BBC Breakfast viewers were left furious after seeing Michael Ball pay a visit to Captain Tom Moore this morning, despite the nationwide lockdown in place to protect the elderly.
The beloved Captain Tom, 100, has captured the hearts of the nation with his outstanding efforts in helping the country combat the coronavirus pandemic.
And this morning's BBC Breakfast programme saw Michael finally meet the warrior that is Captain Tom - but viewers weren't pleased with the decision.
Furious viewers rushed to Twitter to share their concerns for the 100-year-old veteran, who is considered to be 'at risk' of catching the virus, given his age.

One viewer penned: "#bbcbreakfast so you rip apart the scientist for having a visitor and then you actively encourage it with filming Michael Ball visiting Capt Tom! Double standards, how is that essential travel and his daughter couldn't even visit on his birthday!"
Another wrote: "Michael Ball on tv there...visiting a vulnerable 100 year old with a full camera crew."
While a third added: "So it was ok for celebrity singer Michael Ball to visit Captain Tom, hailed by a hypercritical press and public, an unnecessary visit? nice one."

A fourth agreed, writing: "So some people aren’t allowed to see family members at a social distance, but Michael Ball is allowed to pop to Captain Tom’s for a cuppa & chat. Double standards #BBCBreakfast."
Michael Ball headed off to meet Captain Tom following his incredible four-week campaign which saw him raise an astounding £33 million.
The veteran also topped the charts with Michael Ball, as they teamed up for a cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone.

And although Captain Tom is referred to as a captain, he was appointed as an honorary colonel to mark his 100th birthday last month.
The veteran has become the honorary colonel of the Army Foundation College in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
He has also been awarded a Defence Medal, after experts realised he was owed one decades ago.

He and Michael are set to perform the song together, while adhering to social distancing rules, according to the BBC.
Captain Tom: We Salute You will also feature interviews with his daughter Hannah and grandchildren Benji and Georgia.
*It's set to air tonight on BBC One at 7.30pm.
