Michael Adamson: Concerns for missing man believed to be in Edinburgh city centre

A missing man is believed to be in Edinburgh city centre after an appeal to find him was launched by police.

Officers have reached out to the public in an effort to trace Michael Adamson after he was reported missing from Fife.

According to police, Michael, known as Mikey, was last known to be in the Glenrothes area at around 7am on Saturday (January 29.)

However, the 36 year-old, who lives in the Glenrothes area, has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

Mikey is described as 5ft 11 ins tall, of stocky build, with red / auburn hair, balding on top. He was last wearing a dark coloured jacket, a grey T-Shirt and grey Adidas tracksuit bottoms with black stripes and a pair of dark coloured work boots.

An appeal shared by both Fife and Edinburgh police has shared that Mikey may be in Edinburgh city centre.

Asking the public to come forward with any information, officers added that he is thought to have travelled to the capital by bus.

Anyone who may have seen Michael since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2570 of 29th January.
