Micah Richards teases Gary Lineker after Man City's first-half demolition of Leicester

Micah Richards teased his friend Gary Lineker on Twitter after Manchester City 's dominant first-half performance against Leicester City.

Former Manchester City defender Richards left the cheeky message to Leicester City legend Lineker, with the two appearing on Match of the Day regularly with one another.

City ran riot and led Leicester 4-0 at half time, with goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling.

It set City fair to extend their lead at the top of the league, with Liverpool's game with Leeds United postponed due to Covid-19 cases being high in both sides.

A number of City fans were not too pleased with the line-up, after Rodri, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden were all left out.

However, their first-half dominance certainly backed Pep Guardiola's selection decisions.

And Micah Richards was not afraid to poke fun at his mate, with the hammering coming in the middle of a poor spell for Leicester.

Leicester were defeated in midweek by a weakened Liverpool side, who left a number of key players out of the line-up.

Recently perennial challengers for Champions League spots, Leicester look like they may struggle to find a way into the top six this season.
