Micah Richards sends stark warning to Newcastle owners after Watford draw

Micah Richards has warned the new owners the need to 'get some players in fast' after another disappointing afternoon on Tyneside.

The arrival of Chris Wood and Kieran Trippier have buoyed hopes of a great escape, but there's been no sign of three points since their arrival.

Allan Saint-Maximin gave Eddie Howe's side the lead but they were pegged back by Joao Pedro in the dying embers of the second half.

Speaking on Match of The Day, host Gary Lineker asked whether there had been an improvement in Newcastle.

He said: "Can you see any improvement in Newcastle yet?"

To which, Richards said: "No, not really. There was a big improvement against Man United when they got the draw.

"You thought they would kick on from then, but they've been awful to be honest.

"January is so important. They need to get some players in. Fast."
