Former Manchester City full-back Micah Richards has said that a draw would be a ‘good result’ for Pep Guardiola’s side to end a manic week.
City have faced three difficult away trips in the space of eight days.
Last Saturday saw them come out as 1-0 winners over Premier League title contenders Chelsea thanks to Gabriel Jesus’ second-half strike at Stamford Bridge.
Four days later, City had a trip to France, where they fell to a 2-0 Champions League loss against a Lionel Messi-inspired Paris Saint-Germain.
The third of the tricky away trips comes later this afternoon (Sunday) as City travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who will be looking to bounce back from a 3-3 draw with newly-promoted Brentford in their last league outing.

Ahead of the trip, Richards has said that he has been impressed by Guardiola’s men in the two difficult matches so far this week.
“Chelsea, Man City were superb, the high press they played managed to get the 1-0 win,” he said on Sky Sports Super Sunday.
“I thought they played really well against PSG, Bernardo Silva had one he should’ve scored from a yard out, in terms of going to have Chelsea away, PSG away, Liverpool away I can’t imagine a fixture like this for years so if they come to Anfield and I think a draw for City will be a good result.”
The last meeting between the two sides saw City come out as 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan (x2), Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.
City will be looking for a repeat of that result at Anfield again this afternoon.
