Harry Kane's start to Euro 2020 has been widely criticised by England supporters up and down the country.
The Tottenham striker is yet to open his account in the major tournament, but in truth, he has not really had a sniff in a decent goal scoring area.
Kane came into the Euros in fine form after securing his third Premier League Golden Boot with a final day strike against Leicester City, enough to beat Mohamed Salah to the individual award.
However, his brilliance in front of goal has not carried over to the European Championships just yet - and he has seen himself substituted in both of England's Euro matches so far.
The Three Lions struggled to create anything in their goalless stalemate with Scotland on Friday and even in their 1-0 win against Croatia last weekend, Gareth Southgate 's men were not free-flowing in attack despite the wealth of offensive options the England boss has at his disposal.
Kieran Trippier, a right-footer, started at left-back in the opening game, which left England with perhaps not the same attacking threat on that side of the pitch. However, Luke Shaw and Reece James started either side of the four-man defence against the Scots, which on paper, looked a stronger option for Southgate in an attacking sense.
But both James and Shaw never really got into the right areas, which is a credit to Scotland, but a frustration for England and Kane, who was once again deprived of service.
Kane is undoubtedly one of the top strikers in European football at the moment, but even the best cannot produce magic without the service behind them, as Robert Lewandowski finds out on a regular basis with Poland.
The Bayern Munich striker's goal scoring record for the German champions is stupendous, but at an international level, Lewandowski has found the net just three times at the European Championships, with the lack of service he gets undoubtedly a massive factor.
Micah Richards shared his sympathy for the 32-year-old at half-time in Poland's clash with Spain, just minutes before Lewandowski found the back of the net with a bullet header.
“You feel for him a little bit, though, because he’s not getting enough service," Richards said on BBC's coverage of Spain vs Poland.
"You see him at Bayern Munich, scoring week in and week out, but he’s feeding off scraps in this Poland team. I feel a bit sorry for him at times.”
Kane will be desperate to see more of the ball in dangerous areas when England take on Czech Republic next week as he looks to light up the tournament like so many know he can.
