Miami TE Brevin Jordan says Patriots are showing pre-draft interest

Miami tight end Brevin Jordan listed the New England Patriots as one of the teams showing consistent interest ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, per The Draft Wire’s Justin Melo.

Jordan caught 38 passes for 576 yards and seven touchdowns. All three of those categories were numerical highs for him last season. Jordan would certainly add a dynamic playmaker to the tight end position. New England drafted two tight ends last year in Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene, but neither offered dynamic playmaking in 2020.

At six-foot-three, 245 pounds, Jordan is on the smaller side for a tight end. However, he would give New England a playmaking weapon.

He could be a value pick for New England in the second round or later. This is a scenario where they do not have to use a first-round selection to get a playmaker.

The Patriots have had issues getting production from the tight end position over the last two years. The 2021 depth chart will include Matt LaCosse, Devin Asiasi, Dalton Keene and Ryan Izzo.
