FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ Trick Daddy seemed to be having a tough turkey day.
A video posted to the Miami rapper's verified Instagram account on Thursday shows one of his signature donks on fire.
"I called the fire department 10 minutes ago," the frustrated rapper can be heard saying as the Instagram video shows the classic car belching dark grey smoke.
A man with a hose can be vainly seen trying to extinguish the blaze.
For those who don't keep a close eye on South Florida hip-hop culture, donks are old-school, early '70s Chevy Impalas or Caprices that are customized with colorful new paint jobs and huge, flashy wheel rims.
They are a staple of the South Florida hip-hop scene, and Trick Daddy has often rapped about them, most memorably in his song "Chevy (My Donk)."
Donks also got exposure beyond South Florida with the release of the 2016 Best Picture Oscar winner "Moonlight," a made-in-Miami movie that prominently featured donks.
Known for hits "I'm A Thug," "Let's Go," and "I'm So Hood," among others, as well as for his work with fellow Miami rapper Trina, Trick Daddy has long been regarded as an important and influential figure in the South Florida hip-hop scene.
His "Thug Matrimony: Married To The Streets" album also peaked at No. 2 on Billboard November 2004.
The cause of the car fire wasn't clear, but in the video Trick Daddy seems to be suggesting that somebody set the vehicle on fire.
"The haters still can't stop hating me," reads the caption under the video.
