Miami Dolphins teased in Chris Pratt’s new movie, ‘The Tomorrow War’

The Miami Dolphins have made their fair share of appearances in films over the years. None of which, of course, were more prevalent than Jim Carrey’s ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’ — featuring a major guest appearance by quarterback Dan Marino, who is kidnapped in the film on the doorstep of a Super Bowl.

But there’s a new film in town to include the Miami Dolphins, although fans of the team may not find this one as entertaining as Carrey’s Ace Ventura film. Amazon has released a new film titled ‘The Tomorrow War’, starring Chris Pratt, J.K. Simmons and others. The film is centered around time travel, a future war against aliens and, conveniently enough for Dolphins fans, two separate references to the team throughout the film — although the references themselves are a bit of shade to the team’s lack of championship success over the past 40 years.

How direct is the shade at Miami? One of the songs off of the film’s official soundtrack is titled ‘Miami Dolphins Still Suck’.

Don’t be mad at Pratt, however — his character is the one on-screen asking if the Dolphins ever win another Super Bowl; and for a year and a spread in the event that they do. So we suppose that’s something.
