Miami Dolphins named NFL’s “Huddle For 100” winner

The Dolphins ended the 2019 season with an incredible win over the New England Patriots in Week 17 — a victory that the team will hope sets the stage for a rousing turnaround in 2020. But 2020 is off to a good start as well, as the Dolphins have secured their first win of the new year — courtesy of the NFL’s “Huddle For 100” competition.

The NFL tracked minutes logged in community service throughout the course of the 2019 year, which commemorated the NFL’s 100th year of football. The Dolphins? They blew away the competition with over 75.6 million minutes of volunteer time throughout the course of the year.

For those counting at home, that’s over 1.25 million hours of community service — a mind numbing amount of contributions to the community. Across thousands of volunteers, the Dolphins helped renovate local high school athletic facilities, hosted the Special Olympics, raised money for cancer, helped build a bridge between local law enforcement and the South Florida youth and so much more.

The Dolphins’ organization continues to work towards being a top of the line football team, but this franchise remains a top of the line influence throughout the South Florida community and regularly impacts those who call South Florida home.

Congratulations to the Dolphins on an incredible year of service — and here’s to another great year off the field in 2020!
