Miami Dolphins inactives for Week 4 vs. Chargers

The Miami Dolphins are a little over an hour from kickoff, and we now know which Dolphins on the 53-man roster will not be suiting up for today’s game. The Dolphins shared the inactives list just moments ago.

The Dolphins have known for some time that they would be without defensive back Jomal Wiltz — the groin injury he suffered in Week 3 versus Dallas was considered serious enough that the Dolphins reportedly conceded not having him against the Chargers mid-week. Allen Hurns, who was seriously injured against the Cowboys is another inactive that could been seen coming from a mile away.

The Dolphins will have to wait another week to welcome back WR Albert Wilson, too. Wilson’s rehab from a 2018 hip injury cost him much of training camp and although he was ready for Week 1 against the Ravens, he was apparently not in game shape — he suffered a calf injury after just a handful of snaps. His return will hopefully provide some explosiveness for the Dolphins — just not this week.

The loss of left tackle Jesse Davis should not be overlooked either, as it opens the door for pass rushers Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram to harass QB Josh Rosen off the blind side all afternoon. In a year without many breaks so far for Miami, the Dolphins got none in today’s inactives.
