Miami Dolphins’ final Week 15 injury report

The Miami Dolphins received their fair share of good news throughout the course of this week, seeing both running back Matt Breida and DB Jamal Perry return from the reserve/COVID-19 list while also seeing several key players suit up for practice; bucking the expectation that Miami was a lock to not have them in Week 15 against the New England Patriots.

Having your best available players at your disposal is half the battle this late in the season, as the attrition of a 16-game season will take its toll on every roster across the league. Miami will still be without the likes of DT Davon Godchaux, WR Preston Williams and potentially RB Myles Gaskin (reserve/COVID-19) — but a quick review of the rest of Miami’s available roster indicates that Miami should have the entirety of their active roster in play to suit up on Sunday.

The final Week 15 injury report lists a slew of Dolphins as ‘questionable’ but offers no one as ‘doubtful’ or confirmed out. Here are the players listed as questionable.

Questionable

TE Mike Gesicki (Shoulder)

FS Bobby McCain (Ankle)

RB Salvon Ahmed (Shoulder)

OL Ereck Flowers (Ankle)

WR Jakeem Grant Sr. (Hamstring)

WR DeVante Parker (Hamstring)

LB Elandon Roberts (Chest)

LB Kyle Van Noy (Hip)

LB Jerome Baker (Knee)

Miami having this group of players as questionable may feel a bit unnerving when you consider the impact some of these players can have on the game. But remember too that Ereck Flowers was carted off against Cincinnati and Mike Gesicki appeared to have a major shoulder injury in the 4th-quarter against the Chiefs. Having them in the realm of possibilities to have for the New England game is a win given the apparent severity of their injuries. And with Kyle Van Noy and Elandon Roberts coming off a week of rest and not playing against the Chiefs, hopefully they, too, can return to the field and help the Dolphins get back to their winning ways.
