Miami Dolphins cut offensive lineman Ryan Anderson

The Miami Dolphins have cut interior offensive lineman Ryan Anderson. The move was made in chorus with the team signing defensive back David Rivers ahead of the kickoff to Miami’s 2019 training camp schedule.

Anderson, who was an undrafted free agent in this past year’s NFL Draft, was an accomplished starter for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons — earning All-ACC honorable mention in his final season with the team.

Such is the life of an undrafted free agent in the NFL. Anderson getting cut this close to camp is a tough blow — especially without any tape with the Dolphins to fall back onto as he looks to latch on with another team.

For the Dolphins, Anderson was an exposable asset when taking into consideration how many positional flexible offensive linemen the team has allocated throughout the offseason. Between Chris Reed, Jesse Davis and Michael Deiter, the Dolphins have no shortage of options to check boxes in the two-deep.
