- Coleman paid £3,500 for a pistol and around 200 rounds of ammunition, having identified potential targets including the Lord Mayor of London and a mosque.
- He was snared by MI5 undercover officers who engaged with him in encrypted chats as he sought to acquire weapons.
- Coleman was arrested in a Morrisons car park in Stratford in September 2023 after picking up the handgun and ammunition, and is due to be sentenced on 8 July.
