Covid tests and vaccine requirements have become part and parcel of travelling nowadays, as while there are plenty of countries open to Brits for holidays, they each have their own travel rules for tourists.
Often this will mean requiring a negative PCR test result or being able to show proof of vaccination - or in some cases, both.
However, there are some options where travellers don't need Covid tests, nor do they need to meet vaccine requirements or quarantine.
Currently, Mexico and Costa Rica are the two destinations which are are open to Brits without these rules, although they do have other requirements such as travel forms or mandatory insurance requirements.
We take a look at their rules below if you're considering a holiday....
Mexico

There are plenty of incredible places to visit in Mexico, not to mention that it boasts year-round sunshine. From January through to March temperatures average around 20C, and then come spring they start to rise with hot and sunny weather that's ideal for those planning to relax on a beach.
Mexico is currently open to all UK tourists regardless of their vaccination status, and does not require travellers to have a Covid test result in order to be granted entry.
However, it is mandatory to register on the Mexico Vuela Seguro Platform before boarding your flight to Mexico and to show the QR code upon arrival at the airport.

Costa Rica

From its ridiculously beautiful national parks to the huge range of fascinating places to visit, it's no surprise that Costa Rica has long been a hit with intrepid explorers.
Costa Rica is open to both unvaccinated and vaccinated travellers, but it does have some requirements that differ depending on your vaccine status.
If you're unvaccinated, you'll only be granted entry if you buy insurance that meets specific cover requirements such as Covid-related medical expenses and accommodation costs due to any unexpected quarantine.
If you're fully vaccinated (and received your final dose at least 14 days before travel) you can visit Costa Rica without needing to buy the mandatory insurance.
There are no Covid test or quarantine requirements in Costa Rica at the time of writing, although you will need to fill out an online Health pass within 72 hours before arrival.
