Mexican restaurant Tortilla and stationery store Typo to open at Cabot Circus

A Mexican restaurant and a stationery shop are opening at Cabot Circus.

Europe’s largest, fast-casual Mexican restaurant group Tortilla, which serves Californian burritos and tacos, will open in the summer.

The restaurant will serve takeaway food as well as having an area for people to sit down and eat.

Australian stationery and gifting retailer Typo will also open a store at Cabot later this year.

The brand opened its first locations in the UK in 2016 after seeing significant online growth. The new shop will sell Typo’s quirky range of stationery, gifts and homeware.

Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Hammerson, which owns Cabot, said: “These new lettings really demonstrate our strategy in action.

“We’re proactively rotating the retail mix and introducing new brands across our flagship destinations, with a real focus on innovative, engaging brands like Tortilla and Typo.”

The announcement follows the recent opening of the interactive pop-up experience Selfie Factory.

The concept, which will be at Cabot until August 14, has photo friendly installations and rooms including a doughnut wall and confetti cove.

Iain added: “We know that consumers want something different each time they visit our venues, and the Selfie Factory’s unique instragrammable rooms are a great addition to Cabot Circus and a brilliant footfall driver during the summer holidays.”
