NEW YORK — The Mets are fresh off two wins over the Marlins, but they'll need to wait an extra day to go for another.
Due to the expected rain, Wednesday's game was postponed. It will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Sept. 28, beginning at 4:10 p.m.
On that day, the second game will begin around 30 to 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first. Both will be seven-inning contests.
According to the Mets, tickets for Wednesday's game won't be valid for admission to the makeup game during the doubleheader. Those who purchased tickets will receive a digital voucher in their My Mets Tickets account.
The Mets say fans can exchange the voucher for a ticket comparable in price and location to another Mets 2021 regular-season home game — including the makeup doubleheader, but excluding the Sept. 10-12 Subway Series versus the Yankees. Fans can also use their vouchers on a Mets 2022 regular-season home game during April, May or June — though not for opening day.
