Mets first-half grades: Plenty of low marks for team that flopped after hot start

Even the most lenient grader would have a hard time giving these Mets passing grades.

The Mets are 39-55 and one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball through the first half of the season, and it's all but certain they will miss the playoffs for the second straight year.

Some players have had nice seasons, but most of the team has clearly underperformed.
