Mets’ Daniel Vogelbach chose ‘Milkshake’ as his walk-up song and MLB fans thought it was epic

After seeing their NL East lead dwindle for much of June and July, the Mets are back in the driver’s seat. And the addition of Daniel Vogelbach to boost the DH slot is a big reason for that.

But Vogelbach’s value seems to extend beyond the box score. He knows how to lighten up the clubhouse — just check out what he chose for his walk-up song on Wednesday.

With the Mets all selecting walk-up songs performed by women for Citi Field’s Women’s Day, Vogelbach opted to change his song to “Milkshake” by Kelis. And let me tell ya, MLB fans thought the choice was absolutely epic (and hilarious).

So good.

Here’s what the rest of his teammates chose (special shoutout to Jeff McNeil):

Through two innings, Vogelbach already had a hit and an RBI, so he might need to keep the song for now on.

Update: Unfortunately, that walk-up song won’t be staying.

He’s quickly becoming a Mets legend.
