Mets’ announcer Gary Cohen eviscerated Skyline Chili and made Cincinnati natives mad

We here at For The Win have written about Skyline Chili — the Cincinnati delicacy of chili, beans, onions and cheese usually served over noodles but sometimes on hot dogs, see photo above — a few times, including a 2015 review that deemed it “not bad at all.”

That appears not to be the opinion New York Mets play-by-play man Gary Cohen shares.

While the Mets beat the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, Cohen watched a video of Skyline Chili being plated and he completed destroyed it, using “disgusting” to describe the chili.

“They put like 10 tons of shredded cheese on there, he added. “And this is supposed to be food that you actually eat.”
