Meticulously cleaned

U.S. President Donald Trump was cleaned with a cotton swab, while the White House was dusted off with a brush, on Monday at Tobu World Square theme park, which features famous buildings and monuments from around the world in miniature.

It was part of an annual year-end cleaning at the park in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. World Square is home to 102 buildings and dioramas re-created at a 1/25 scale, including such landmarks as the Tokyo Skytree and Egypt's pyramids.

An official of the theme park's operator said, "We hope the coronavirus crisis will be put under control soon, and people can enjoy traveling around the world in our park."

Due to a resurgence of the novel coronavirus, the government's Go To Travel tourism support campaign is suspended nationwide from Monday through Jan. 11.
