Metallica rocked the national anthem before Game 3 of the Finals and fans loved it

The NBA Finals returned to Oakland for the fifth straight year Wednesday night as the Golden State Warriors, who were playing without Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, hosted the Toronto Raptors in a huge Game 3.

Before the game two members of the legendary heavy metal band Metallica – lead singer James Hatfield and guitarist Kirk Hammett – rocked a great rendition of the national anthem.

The two are from the Bay Area and have played the anthem before at both Warriors and San Francisco Giants games.

The rock gods didn’t disappoint before Game 3, either, as they pumped up the crowd at Oracle Arena with this fantastic performance:
