Get your devil horns ready - Metallica is storming into London next summer with two massive shows at London Stadium, and if you think you’ll hear Enter Sandman on both nights, think again.
This is no ordinary world tour. This is Metallica’s M72 era, which promises to be bigger, louder, and absolutely not messing around with repeat playlists.
For the uninitiated, the M72 world tour kicked off in 2023 to support the band’s 11th studio album 72 Seasons. Since then, the metal juggernaut has been smashing stadiums across the globe. They’ve hit Castle Donington’s Download Festival, but 2026 marks their full-blown return to UK soil — and London is getting the royal treatment.
Mark your calendars:
Friday, July 3 and Sunday, July 5, London Stadium, the capital’s go-to for epic-scale gigs will be rocking with pyrotechnics, sweat, noise, and nostalgia in equal measure.
And the best bit? Thanks to their No Repeat Weekend format, the setlists will be completely different across both nights - as in, zero repeats. One night might open with Master of Puppets, the next with Fuel. Even the support acts change. Basically, if you only go to one, you’re missing half the show.
Support slots are stacked. On night one, you’ll get Gojira and Knocked Loose bringing the heat. Then on night two, it’s Pantera and Avatar. So yes, the metal gods are offering you a fully curated mini-festival vibe on each night.
Two-day tickets go live on Friday, May 30 at 10am via Ticketmaster, with single-day tickets following on July 25. If you’re hoping to hit both shows, the two-day pass is your golden ticket to the full Metallica experience.
Brace yourself

These aren’t your average gig prices. Standing tickets for both nights start at £190, but if you’ve ever tried booking Taylor Swift, you’ll know that’s practically reasonable in this economy.
Metallica superfans have already had their shot via a fan presale on May 27. Then came O2 Priority on May 28, and Live Nation’s presale on May 29. But if you’ve missed those, don’t panic as general sale’s where it’s at.
Feeling Spendy?
There’s also a slew of VIP ‘enhanced experience’ packages, ranging from £395 all the way to £2,795. At the top tier? A meet and greet with the band, prime viewing areas, and free drinks.

Ticketmaster has dropped the official seating map, and let’s just say, it’s as massive as you'd expect. The stage takes a 360-degree setup, smack bang in the middle of the stadium, so everyone gets a decent view even those in the cheap seats. Though, this is Metallica. There are no “cheap” seats.
Can’t get tickets?
Expect resale to go wild. Stubhub and the usual suspects will be buzzing the second general tickets sell out. But beware the markup — resale prices could climb faster than a Kirk Hammett guitar solo.
Alongside London, Metallica will hit Glasgow, Cardiff, Dublin, and a string of other European cities, from Athens to Berlin. But London’s double bill is where it’s really going down and where you’ll want to be.
Tickets go on sale May 30 from 10 am. Find them on Ticketmaster here
