Meta will tap Google cloud services for its artificial intelligence workloads and more, according to the report.
Google stock rose 1.35% in Friday morning action. Shares edged up 0.2% to 199.75 on Thursday.
Meta stock was off 0.1% early Friday. Shares fell 1.15% to 739.10 on Thursday, amid a report that the Facebook parent is freezing AI hiring. Meta stock has retreated 5.9% so far this week, just holding the 50-day and 10-week lines.
