
A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with rape and a number of further sexual offences.
PC Santos Rodriguez, 22, a probationary officer undergoing initial recruit training attached to West Area Command Unit, was charged on July 22 with rape and three counts of sexual assault by penetration on a woman.
The charges relate to an alleged incident in March 2025 and all involve the same victim.
PC Rodriguez, who was off duty at the time of the alleged incident, was arrested on March 12 and immediately suspended from duty.
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and is investigating.
