A serving Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with four counts of rape and a series of sexual offences.
PC Robert Wing, 57, attached to Specialist Operations, is accused of allegations involving the same woman between 2013 and 2016.
All are said to have taken place when Wing was off-duty, Scotland Yard said.
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with rape, two counts of sexual assault by penetration and one of sexual assault.
A force spokesman said: “The allegations all involve the same victim and all are said to have took place when PC Wing was off-duty.
“The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.”
Wing, of Forest Gate, had been arrested in March 2023 on suspicion of rape and immediately suspended.
He was charged on Thursday.
