Met Office: Yellow weather warning remains with heavy rain expected tonight

A Met Office yellow weather warning for Bristol will remain in place until tomorrow with heavy rain expected tonight.

The warning will last until midnight tomorrow (November 27).

The Met Office has said rain and heavy showers will bring the risk of travel disruption.

Spray and flooding on roads are expected to increase journey times for cars and buses with flooding of a few homes and businesses also possible.

Weather for this afternoon

It will remain cloudy and mild for Bristol. Temperatures are expected to peak at 13C at 3pm with chances of rain only being around 21 per cent.

A moderate breeze will also be present around the city, with maximum wind gusts around 14mph.

This evening and overnight

Into this evening and overnight, it's expected to stay dry and mild from 5pm until 10pm.

From 10pm onwards and for the rest of the night, heavy showers will be around with the possibility of some thunder and hail.

It will also be a very windy night, with the chance of gales around coastal areas. However, it will still feel relatively mild overnight with minimum temperatures around the 7C mark.

Chances of rain will peak at 5am at 86 per cent.

Wednesday 27th November

It's a very wet start to the day, with sharp showers throughout the morning, with the continued risk of thunder and hail.

Winds throughout the morning will be rather brisk. But, it's expected to stay fairly mild throughout the day, with temperatures peaking around 12C.

Chances of rain will peak at 11am, when there is an 82 per cent chance of rain.

Rain will only begin to ease tomorrow by 4pm. Into the evening and overnight, it's expected to be dry and cloudy with minimum temperatures of 8C.

Wind speeds are expected to stay low, at around the 7mph mark.
