Met Office yellow weather warning as winds to reach 65mph in parts of Scotland

Parts of Scotland are bracing for gale force winds as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning for wind.

Forecasters are expecting gusts of up to 65mph in some areas as windy weather is set to cause chaos tomorrow.

The warning is in place from 3AM tomorrow morning all the way through to 2PM tomorrow afternoon.

The Met Office stated that the swath of strong winds will arrive in Scotland after tracking up the Irish Sea throughout the weekend.

Winds are likely to reach 50-60mph along costal districts, with the stronger gusts of 65mph possible in more exposed regions.

The core of stronger winds will track northwards throughout Sunday, reaching parts of Scotland in the early hours.

This may lead to some poor coastal conditions and transport disruption, according to the Met Office.

This weekend temperatures will hover around 10 to 12C, normal temperatures for the season.
