There's a weather alert in place for heavy rainfall and potential flooding in Glasgow this weekend.

As reported on Glasgow Live yesterday, the Met Office issued the yellow warning across the whole central belt, as well as much of the Borders and northern England from 9am until

It’s in place from 9am tomorrow (Saturday) until 3pm tomorrow – and it was already pouring down this morning.

The Met Office weather warning reads: “Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding in a few places and travel disruption.

“Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.

“Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”

It's to be a dreich, cloudy day with a muggy temperature which is estimated to peak at around 19C. It's set to continue overnight with some scattered showers and heavier outbreaks through tomorrow afternoon.
