Met Office weather: When Glasgow heatwave is expected as temperatures to soar to 27C

We have had some pretty great weather over the last few months as well as a mixture of some... not-so great weather.

Around mid-July, we experienced a heatwave which saw much of Scotland soar to, and in some cases beyond, 30C with the rest of the UK seeing highs of 40C.

And whilst these temperatures were too high for many, experts have said we are set to see yet more highs, although they won't be record-breaking.

According to the Met Office, the city is set to see the city warm up from Wednesday (August 10) with the hot spell lasting four days. Temperatures will start at around 23C which will then go up to 24C the following day.

On the first day of the sunny spell, the sun is set to come out as early as 7am with it starting at 14C. Just hours later, it will then soar to 23C at around 1pm.

On Friday (August 12), the highs will jump a little further with the city seeing highs of 27C. This will be the highest temperature of the week, at present.

Saturday will still be warm for those wanting a sunny weekend with 26C predicted with the chances of rain said to be very slim according to both the Met Office and BBC Weather with less than a five per cent chance across the week.
