The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for ice, with temperatures struggling to stay above freezing this weekend.
The weather organisation have issued a warning for ice for Liverpool, which comes into effect from midnight tonight and lasts until 11am on Saturday morning.
Over the past few days there have been several warnings for snow and ice as temperatures across Liverpool struggled.
Today's warning, which covers much of the UK, said: "Icy stretches may lead to some difficult driving conditions.
"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
This weather in Merseyside is likely to remain settled this weekend, with sunshine and cold temperatures predicted for Saturday.
Sunday will be milder, with more overcast skies, but the rain is forecast to stay away in Liverpool, leaving a dry day.
The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "This evening will be largely dry with clearing skies. A cold night to come with a widespread frost and a risk of icy stretches. Feeling very cold. Minimum temperature -9 °C.

"Saturday will see a dry start with icy stretches and spells of sunshine. Cloud building from the northwest around midday, leading to a cloudier afternoon. Outbreaks of rain during the evening and overnight. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
"Turning milder on Sunday, with cloud and outbreaks of rain at times. An unsettled day on Monday with heavy rain and strong winds. Cloudy with rain later on Tuesday."
