The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for ice, with snow and sleet forecast over the weekend.
The weather organisation have issued a warning for ice which is currently in place until 10am tomorrow.
The warning said: "Icy surfaces leading to difficult travel conditions.
"Expect some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
"They'll probably be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
Liverpool has seen torrential rain and flooding this week, but now temperatures are set to dip into the weekend and some wintry showers have been forecast.
Friday will be a settled and dry but cold day and overnight there is a chance for some sleet and snow to fall into Saturday morning.
There is then a further chance for some snow and sleet on Sunday morning, with temperatures only reaching highs of four degrees.

The Met Office forecast for the North West said: "Friday will be a frosty start for many with some icy patches. A mixture of scattered wintry showers, heavy at times, with sunny intervals throughout the day. Feeling cold with a breeze. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
"Sunny spells and wintry showers, heavy at times, on Saturday and Sunday.
"Drier during Monday with further sunny spells. Feeling cold throughout with overnight frosts and icy patches."
