Met Office weather forecast: Will the sun come out for St Pauls Carnival?

St Paul's Carnival is just around the corner, bringing with it one of the biggest street parties this summer.

St Paul's Carnival is an event created by those in the community wanting to bring everyone together in the whole of Bristol.

With four main stages catering to a variety of music, kicking off at midday all the way through the day till 10pm.

The organisers have been granted funding from the Arts Council England with £600,000, which was awarded in June 2017 and has been distributed into annual £150,000 payments between 2018-2022, confirming the return of the event.

If you’re one of the lucky ones attending this big celebration of African-Caribbean culture, below is all the details you need including after parties until the sun goes down,  line ups and more.

But what does the weather hold for the event? Will the sun come out or will it be a washout?

Well fortunately, while it might not be as warm or as sunny as previously in the week, the chance of it raining on the day is very small indeed.

Met Office Forecast

The entire region will have a dry and very warm day with a fair amount of high cloud. Most places will have very little wind but sea breezes may develop around the coast, keeping it slightly cooler here. Maximum temperature 27 °C.

Warm sunshine will continue everywhere well into the evening. It will stay dry and mostly clear all through the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday will be cloudier and less warm across Gloucestershire and northern parts of Wiltshire and Somerset. However, the rest of the region will have another sunny and very warm day. Maximum temperature 26 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Most places will stay dry with sunny spells, though the odd shower is possible. Temperatures will still be fairly warm, though not as warm as Friday and Saturday.
