Met Office weather forecast: Will rain ruin Bristol Pride 2019?

Those looking forward to may be a bit anxious by the dark, grey clouds which have formed over Bristol this morning.

Pride day starts this morning (July 13) with the parade which will be gathering from 10am in Castle Park and departing at 10.45am.

The festival site on The Downs will then be opening at midday later this afternoon.

Thankfully, while the recent sunny weather seems to have disappeared, it looks likely that rain won't ruin today's celebrations.

According to the BBC weather forecast, today's weather will be light cloud and a gentle breeze with only a 1 or 2 per cent chance of rain from 10am onwards.

It's even better news according to the Met Office, which predicts "sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon".

A forecaster for the weather agency says: "It will be another fine and dry day, with plenty of sunshine around.

"It will feel warm in the sunshine, with light winds. Breezier and feeling a little fresher around some northern coasts.

"Maximum temperature 24 °C."
