Met Office weather forecast: This is when thunder could arrive in Bristol

Bristol could see a mix of sunshine, heavy rain and even thunder this weekend.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday, August 17, is a peak temperature of 20 degrees and mostly dry weather in the city.

The only time rain is likely is between 7am to 8am. After that, the day is expected to be cloudy but with plenty of sunny spells.

Sunday is set for highs of 19 degrees and some sunshine. The Met Office predicts heavy showers by late morning, lasting until 7pm.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "There will be sunshine and blustery showers on Sunday, with thunder possible."

Giving an outlook for the early stages of next week, they added: "The wind will ease thereafter, but a few showers will still be possible on Monday and Tuesday."
