Met Office weather forecast says we're in for 17-hour soaking as heavy rain to hit

Wet weather may feel like a distant memory, but unfortunately it's on its way.

Bristol has basked in bright sunshine for weeks now, with temperatures reaching 26C prompting people to flock to the beach, enjoy picnics in the park and spend plenty of time outdoors.

But it's all due to come to a grisly end tomorrow (Wednesday, June 3), according to Met Office forecasters.

Thankfully much of the heavy rain will hit at night, with downpours expected to start at around 3am.But the rain will not let up completely until Wednesday evening - with dry weather not forecast to arrive until 9pm.

The worst of the downpours will be between 3am and 5am, with downpours forecast to hit again between 8am and 9am.

There is between a 40 per cent and 60 per cent chance of rain for much of the day.

The Met Office says there will be "heavy rain changing to cloudy by night-time" with temperatures of between 11C and 16C.
